Description

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Duncan, South Carolina. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations within the industrial sector. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting practices and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.

- Oversee accounts receivable activities, including tracking payments and resolving discrepancies.

- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.

- Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for.

- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with financial standards.

- Collaborate with internal teams to support month-end and year-end closing procedures.

- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.

- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.

- Address and resolve accounting discrepancies promptly and effectively.

- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on attention to detail.

- Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Solid understanding of general ledger maintenance and journal entry preparation.

- Experience conducting bank reconciliations with high attention to detail.

- Familiarity with accounting principles and regulations.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
