CONSULTANT CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST – BAND 8C – Child and Adolescent Psychology – Care Experienced Team

We are looking for a permanent consultant clinical psychologist to work within our Care Experienced Team in the Child and Adolescent Psychology Specialty. The post is part‑time (29.7 hours per week) and will lead a multi‑disciplinary group in delivering mental health services to children and young people who are care experienced.

The role involves consultation, the provision of evidence‑based psychological interventions, strategic development and planning for this client group, supervision and line management of team members, and working closely with other specialists to support the Head of Specialty in providing psychological therapies for children and families.

Our Department has approximately 90 staff, including psychologists and therapists across all major specialties. We maintain strong links with Edinburgh and Stirling/Dundee Universities, take trainees from the Edinburgh Doctorate and MSc programmes, and provide supervision for trainee CBT and other psychological therapists. Dedicated CPD and supervision time are provided.
