Location: Dumfries, Scotland (Mountainhall Treatment Centre & peripheral clinics in Galloway)
Salary: £32.25 Hourly
Hours: 18 hours per week

Are you ready to embrace an exciting challenge as a Band 6 Orthoptist in rural Scotland? We have a fantastic locum opportunity available in Dumfries for 18 hours a week. Your main base will be at the Mountainhall Treatment Centre, with the chance to travel to peripheral clinics in the beautiful Galloway region.

Experience:
Broaden your skills and knowledge through diverse clinic settings and various patient cases, enhancing your career in orthoptics.
- Deliver core Orthoptic clinics to patients of all ages.
- Conduct Pre-Op Assessments efficiently and effectively.
- Undertake pre-school vision screening to aid early detection of vision issues.
- Support Vision and Reading Orthoptic Clinics (VAROC) with your expertise.
- Engage in colorimetry assessments and provide Low Vision support.
- Contribute to post-operative adjustments for adult and paediatric patients.
- Travel independently to clinics throughout Dumfries and Galloway, as required.
- HPCP registration is essential.
- At least 2 years of post-registration experience within orthoptics.
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferable due to travel requirements.
