Based at the University of Glasgow’s Dumfries Campus, the School of Social & Environmental Sustainability is seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Natural Hazards to further enhance research and teaching across a developing portfolio of Environmental Science & Sustainability undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The successful candidate will be part of a collegiate and committed team of environmental science & sustainability colleagues working across a number of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The ideal candidate will also have a broad knowledge across the environmental sciences and work in an interdisciplinary team. Successful applicants will also contribute to the School’s successes in securing ambitious research projects.
In addition to a comprehensive understanding of Natural Hazards, the ideal candidate will be confident in leading/teaching groups in the field and laboratory and collaborate with external agencies. Skills in GIS applications would be particularly welcomed.
