Access and Engagement Worker ()

Permanent, full‑time position working 37.5 hours per week, which may include some evenings and Saturdays on occasion. Flexibility is required for initial contact with clients who are unavailable during normal office hours.
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 per year, rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands.
Location:
Dumfries and Galloway – a drug and alcohol support service covering the whole region from 2 fixed bases. The role is based at either of the fixed sites, working as part of an established team.
- Act as the first point of contact for new clients.
- Arrange appointments, coordinate referrals and answer telephone calls to provide an efficient information service.
- Provide accurate data entry and produce basic statistical reports as requested by management.
- Signpost new clients to appropriate services and ensure they have the information needed to access support.
Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrable ability to use digital systems confidently, including data entry, remote access platforms and case‑management systems (e.g., Nebula or similar).
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong client‑facing communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise and organise workload across multiple practices.
- Strong time‑management skills, with flexibility where required.
- Basic knowledge of signposting and community support pathways.
