Professional entry level work providing case plan services in a community corrections setting. An employee in this class works directly with clients through the entire probation period to create and implement case plans.
Duties include:
supervision of clients and monitoring of probation conditions. The work is performed under the direction of assigned supervisory staff. These work environment factors are general in nature and may vary depending on the specific position being filled.

FREQUENTLift and carry up to 10 pounds; near vision; hear within 20 feet; climb stairs; use fingers; grasp; handle; maintain posture; move about; walk; right and left wrist turn; work alone, with and around others; customer/public contact; clients with behavioral challenges.
OCCASIONALBalance; reach; reach above shoulder; stand; taste/smell; blood‑borne pathogens; traffic; shift work and work outside.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Pass/Fail)- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science field; or graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in any field with at least forty (40) credits in behavioral science; or an equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the Arrowhead Regional Corrections Executive Director.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
NOTE: Behavioral Science is defined by the Arrowhead Regional Corrections Board as psychology (includes educational psychology & counseling), social work (includes social development), criminal justice, corrections, criminology, sociology, and social science.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSOne (1) year full‑time paid verifiable experience in social work, probation, parole, social counseling, or a closely related field.
RATING SYSTEMSupplemental questions will be 100% of the scoring process. Points will be awarded based on the applicant’s answers to supplemental questions 12‑15. Experience beyond ten years may be included on the application for purposes of meeting minimum qualifications or informing the hiring authority of your complete employment history.
