Maintenance

Technician

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Must have reliable, insured transportation for daily use.
Skills Snapshot (What Our Technicians Excel At):

This role is an excellent fit if you have experience or interest in:

  • Basic plumbing repairs (leaks, drain issues, fixture replacements)
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting (outlets, switches, lighting issues)
  • Carpentry and structural repairs (doors, trim, drywall, plaster)
  • Appliance diagnostics and installations
  • Seasonal tasks and home-weatherization
  • Using property management apps, communication tools, and work order systems
  • Customer-facing communication with residents and owners in a calm, respectful manner

These are not strict requirements, just a snapshot of the skill set typical of successful technicians on our team.

Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance repairs at properties as requested, troubleshooting a wide range of issues.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of work completed, materials used, and expenses.
  • Demonstrate initiative by expanding repair capabilities, asking questions, and continuously learning.
  • Communicate clearly with residents, team members, and coordinators to ensure smooth workflow and positive experiences.
  • Support team members through consistent communication, shared problem-solving, and upholding the company’s core values.
Maintenance Technician

Key Requirements:
  • Maintenance or construction experience, formal or informal.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Personal vehicle and tools required for daily use.
  • Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule (see details below).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively use related apps and systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cooperative, engaged team.
On-Call Expectations:
  • Technicians serve one week of on-call approximately every two months.
  • A $100 bonus is paid after each on-call week.
  • After-hours calls during on-call periods are paid at time and a half.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable using ladders, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Ability to work in basements, attics, tight spaces, and outdoor conditions year-round.
  • Ability to stay focused while troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Ability to interact professionally with residents, even in stressful or unexpected situations.
  • Ability to manage daily tasks independently while maintaining strong communication with the team.
Work Schedule

Technicians work one of the following standard schedules:

  • Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
  • Rotating Monday–Thursday / Tuesday–Friday, 10-hour shifts

Schedules may vary based on operational needs but maintain a consistent weekly structure.
