• Starting salary $23.65 - $34.28, depending upon experience

• Monday – Friday
• 4:30 am – 3:00 pm (Must be available to work within these hours of operation; flexibility needed)
• Overtime required; occasional Saturdays
• Normal setting is a repair/maintenance shop at our Duluth, MN hauling site

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts
• Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs)
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles – the safety of every single employee and the people in our communities is our number one priority
• Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
• Assist senior mechanics in the completion of project work
• Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures

• 2 years of relevant work experience
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Over 18 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
• Successfully complete and pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical

• Required to exert physical effort that will include but is not limited to frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constant standing, walking, and grasping; occasional sitting and balancing
• Required to be exposed to physical risks (cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) often
• Required to be exposed to a physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often
• This job operates in both inside garage, shop or gas plant conditions as well as outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity
