The Lawn Maintenance Foreman oversees and leads a team of landscaping professionals to ensure the proper care, maintenance, and enhancement of residential, commercial, or municipal properties. This role involves planning and coordinating daily tasks, operating equipment, and ensuring high-quality work in compliance with client expectations and company standards.
Qualifications- Proven experience in lawn care, landscaping, or groundskeeping, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining lawn care equipment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of horticulture, lawn care practices, and pest management.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical labor.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Lawn Maintenance crew.
- Train, mentor, and ensure the safety of team members.
- Monitor team performance and productivity.
- Plan and execute mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weeding schedules.
- Ensure proper care of lawns, shrubs, trees, and other greenery.
- Identify and resolve issues related to pest control, disease, or irrigation.
- Operate and oversee the use of mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Maintain an inventory of tools and materials.
- Communicate with clients to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.
- Perform quality checks to ensure work meets company and client standards.
- Document and report work progress and site conditions.
- Develop daily and weekly schedules for the team.
- Prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Keep schedules on the established timeline.
- Adjust plans based on weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
- Ensure adherence to company safety protocols and industry standards.
- Conduct safety briefings and monitor proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Job Type: Full-time (Seasonal) 40+ hour/week
Salary: $23-$26/hour
