Part Time Registered Nurse (RN)

Either 56 hours/2 weeks Overnights or 48 hours/2 weeks Afternoon/Evening Shift. Both blocks have an every other weekend rotation.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for ensuring that the health and safety needs of all residents are met. This position also ensures the facility complies with current regulations and standards of practice.

About Us:

Ecumen Lakeshore - The Fountains provides short-term rehab and post-hospital care for up to 60 patients in spacious, private rooms along the picturesque shore of Lake Superior. Nurses in the Fountains acquire a comprehensive skill set including IV insertion, medication administration, lab draws, code response, complex wound care, advanced respiratory care, and restorative nursing care in collaboration with the therapy team to support each patient’s journey to health.

The targeted pay range for this job is $35.96 - $45.67 per hour.

Essential

Job Responsibilities:

Completes initial assessment of potential residents and implements service agreements upon move-in.

Monitors and maintains each resident’s medical record, ensuring assessments are completed timely, documentation is appropriate, and residents have current care plans.

Ensures all physician orders are signed and implemented within 24 hours.

Maintains and monitors medication administration programs, supervises medication practices and medical equipment, and follows up with physicians regarding medications and medical conditions.

Assists supervisors in providing health and medication training to new team members and ongoing education for staff, documenting all training to ensure compliance with regulations.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree in Nursing
Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment and maintain licensure
Effective communication skills in verbal and written formats
Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, including but not limited to:
Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precautions, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to Know, SDS, ADA, HUD policies, Fair Housing laws, and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Previous experience working with seniors
