About The Job

- Problem‑solve alongside nonprofit and UMD partners when difficult situations or conflicts arise.
- Promote the value of internships to students and help them understand how such experiences fit into their education at UMD and beyond.

- Supervise student employees, as appropriate.
- Work with UMD Career Center and the UMD Public Engagement Office to continue to improve the internship experience for students and nonprofit partners.
- Collaborate with the CAHSS Deans and UMD Career Center to help students articulate the skills developed in the internship experience for a variety of purposes and audiences.
- Partner with others at UMD as needed.
- Work with faculty and staff to develop standard learning outcomes and expectations for student interns.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of evaluation and assessment practices, guiding data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform strategic planning for internal (UMD) and external (regional nonprofit) partners.
- Maintain and organize records.
- Co‑develop communication and marketing strategies for HIA.
