United Mills Feed Mill Operator

The Feed Mill Operations Operator is responsible for operating feed production systems, supporting maintenance and warehouse functions in an efficient, and compliant manner. This position plays a key hands‑on role in daily mill operations while supporting customer service, equipment reliability, and accurate documentation.

• Operate feed grinding, mixing, and processing systems according to production schedules and customer requirements.
• Enter and manage feed production orders in the control panel system.
• Schedule and adjust production to maximize efficient use of mixers, load‑out bins, and equipment while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Monitor ingredient inventory levels and report shortages or quality concerns.
• Enter received inventory and bills of lading into the inventory system accurately.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly production and inventory reports as required.

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, lubrication, and minor repairs on mill and warehouse equipment.
• Communicate equipment issues and service needs with maintenance personnel to prevent breakdowns and injuries.
• Maintain clean and organized mill, warehouse, receiving areas, office space, and surrounding property.
• Assist with completion of daily, weekly, monthly, semi‑annual, and annual maintenance records.
• Maintain feed ingredient storage areas and ensure proper rotation, labeling, and quality control.
• Follow and enforce safety practices in compliance with OSHA, state, and federal regulations.

• Maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and continued business.
• Assist customers and vendors with site access, unloading, and operational questions.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and report issues to the Production Supervisor/CEO.
• Represent the company in a professional manner that promotes trust, safety, and teamwork.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor/CEO.
• Work cooperatively with other departments and support overall mill operations as needed.
• Maintain a positive attitude that reflects company values and promotes teamwork.
• Clean up any spilled feed and maintain cleanliness of delivery equipment.

• This is a hands‑on operator role, not a supervisory position.
• Work responsibilities may shift daily based on production needs, maintenance priorities, and delivery schedules.
• Normal work days are Monday–Friday, with flexibility required during peak production periods.
• CDL not required but CDL is a plus with additional opportunity for performing feed deliveries.
