The ME Technician’s main role is to perform preventative maintenance on production tooling. This will include inspecting the diameter of bushings, overhauling dispensing equipment, lubricating hoist systems, and ensuring clamping devices are engaging correctly. Other tasks might include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, creating specialty tooling, and fixing broken production equipment. Supports production to drive success for the quality of the Aircraft.
The Manufacturing Engineer technician is responsible for supporting the design, development, maintenance, and optimization or manufacturing processes and equipment. Their responsibilities are crucial for ensuring efficient production, high product quality, and equipment reliability.
Duties and Responsibilities- Proficient with Manufacturing Engineer Technician II responsibilities plus
- Troubleshoots basic equipment malfunctions without the need for external help.
- Helps with more complex aircraft repairs.
- Takes ownership of tooling in assigned area
- Works with engineering to solve existing issues.
- Follows all company safety policies
- Completes prescribed preventative maintenance tasks on time.
- Maintains a clean and organized workstation to department standards.
- Keep equipment operational by specifying and coordinating maintenance and repair.
- Communicates issues to lead and supervisor
- Maintain successful relationships with engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory departments

- High School diploma or GED equivalent, Tech school or 2 year degree preferred
- 5+ years experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Certified on MET level one and two
- Proficient in MIG, or TIG welding
- Knows how to use basic measuring tools such as a scale, tape measure, gauge pin, and caliper.
- Expert in preventative maintenance.
- Understands how to interpret engineering drawings and use a bill of material.
- Has a knowledge of how to order consumables and other parts for all maintenance tasks.
- Has basic computer skills and knows how to update/ run maintenance software.
- Use hand and power tools to perform maintenance and repairs on tooling.
- Ability to machine and modify parts with a lathe and a mill.
