Duluth Public Schools is seeking an individual to provide custodial cleaning and minor facilities maintenance services in assigned building(s). To perform minor grounds maintenance including clearing snow from walkways and steps leading to assigned building(s). To assist in the set-up of rooms and other facilities for school and community events.
Minimum Qualifications- Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Six months of experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the work.
- Knowledge of cleaning standards
- Knowledge of cleaning methods
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals
- Time management knowledge
- Skilled in the use and care of floor cleaning equipment
- Skilled in task prioritization
- Special Class C Boilers License in the State of Minnesota for School Custodian II
- Second Class C Boilers License in the State of Minnesota for School Custodian III
- Employees shall be paid an additional forty cents per hour for all hours worked between the hours of 5 pm and 6 am. In lieu of shift differential pay during their lunch period, custodians will receive an extra 2.5 cents per hour that is included in their salary.

- Flexible Spending Accounts: Employees may elect to contribute on a pre-tax basis to Health Flexible Spending Accounts and Dependent Care Accounts
- Retirement: The District contributes 7.5% of your total salary in the Public Employees Retirement Association pension plan;
Employees may also elect to participate in Tax-Shelter Annuity options. - Time Off: Each bargaining unit contract defines time off provisions such as holidays, sick/personal leave, vacation, etc.
