The Boiler Operator Chief operates and maintains the boiler plant for the medical campus, ensuring safe and efficient facility operations and supporting building systems. This role supervises a team of rotating shift boiler operators, performs hot water boiler maintenance, and responds to alarms or emergency repair requests.
BasePay Range
$33.00/hr – $41.00/hr
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain boiler plant for medical campus.
- Observe and dispatch maintenance engineers for building automation system alarms regarding HVAC systems, fire safety systems, emergency generators, and patient care equipment.
- Maintain and perform checks regarding hot water boilers around campus.
- Respond to emergency repair requests and carry out additional responsibilities as delegated.
- Minnesota 1st class B boilers license or greater.
- Meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health’s insurer.
Boiler Operator Chief position has a +10% pay increase from the standard pay grade ($44.12 OR $45.87).
