Radiologic Technologist

• Pay or shift range: $29.56 USD to $50.60 USD.

Astera Health is currently accepting applications for a XR/CT Technologist.

This position is scheduled for 48 hours per biweekly pay period, varied weekday shifts (three 8-hour or two 12-hour shifts per week), as well as working every 5th weekend and holiday. Responsibilities required, but not limited to:

• Instructs and prepares patients for exams.
• Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.
• Makes special radiographic examinations requiring special equipment and procedures.
• Programs portable or stationary x-ray machines and makes radiographs for a variety of examinations.
• Processes x-ray cassettes and manipulates images for optimal quality.
• Reviews images on PACS and sends to radiologist workstations.
• Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures.
• Assists in maintaining records and reports.
• Takes x-ray call, and CT call according to the monthly schedule after the closing of the regular department hours.

• Completion of a formal training in an AMA approved school for Registered Radiologic Technologists
• A. R. R. T. Certification
• 1-2 years experience in a hospital setting performing x-rays and CT is preferred
