Safety Consultant - Part time

One Tech Engineering is searching for a part-time Safety Consultant for a position located near Duluth, Minnesota. The Safety Consultant will provide safety oversight for all power construction activities taking place on-site for various transmission and substation projects.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have At least 5+ years of safety oversight experience for high voltage projects.

• Responsible for recognizing, monitoring, and making recommendations to correct workplace safety hazards through on-site audits, consulting, ergonomic assessments, and interventions according to OSHA and other regulatory agencies; and collaborating on safety policy development and training.
• Conduct site safety orientations.
• Participate in Pre-Job Safety Reviews and project planning to ensure successful and safe execution of work tasks.
• Provide coaching to employees on safety practices.
• Conduct a weekly 'all hands safety meeting'.
• Manage all hot work permitting.
• Oversee all incident investigations.
• Generate all required documentation in Site Docs.

• At least 5+ years safety oversight experience for high voltage projects
• Previous experience working with utility contractors, and site personnel.
• Certified Utilities Safety Professional certification
• Working knowledge of OSHA Compliance.
• Proficient with Microsoft office;
  Spreadsheets in Excel, Experience with Eco Online.
