Overview
Job Purpose/Description
Community Service Orientation Coordinator program.
- Recruit, select, and train student leaders (March/April)
- Speak on behalf of CSO program at first-year student orientation sessions (9 dates in May/June)
- Create marketing video and materials to recruit student participants
- Communicate with potential CSO participants and their families
- Arrange for supplies, schedule rooms, and other CSO program needs
- Plan daily schedule for all involved in CSO and facilitate its implementation, including:
- Set up volunteer sites and facilitate ongoing communication with site contacts
- Arrange and coordinate evening programs and entertainment
- Implement program evaluation
- Meet regularly with a member of Campus Ministry staff to articulate progress towards meeting goals, and dialogue about areas of concern
- Show hospitality, responsibility, professionalism, creativity, enthusiasm and integrity in their work
- Represent the Campus Ministry Center and all its programming in a positive way to students, parents, staff and faculty, and community members
- Previous experience as a participant and/or student leader for CSO program
- Demonstrate leadership and organizational skills needed as well as enthusiasm for service
- Exhibit strong organizational and detail skills
- Demonstrate ability to work professionally and enthusiastically with faculty/staff/community/parents and students
- Satisfactory computer and social media skills
- Have strong oral and written communication skills
- Be self-motivated and reliable
- Be an organized and effective leader
- Be supportive of the ecumenical and interfaith nature of campus ministry
- Previous experience as a student leader for the CSO program
- Must be a current CSS student
- Does NOT require work study eligibility
- Previous experience as a student leader for the CSO program
- Approximately 2 hours per week during the academic year. Approximately 5-10 hours per week during May 15-August 26.
- Full time during August 27 to September 1.
