Job SummaryThe College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota, is seeking an assistant professor to join our Master of Science and Entry-Level Doctorate Occupational Therapy Programs. The role involves expanding programs, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, engaging diverse perspectives in occupational therapy, and fostering community partnerships through experiential and interprofessional education. The position is available immediately with a preferred start date of January 2026.
This is a full-time, 11-month core faculty position.
- Teaching within the occupational therapy curriculum
- Advising students to meet diverse needs
- Assisting in recruitment and admission activities
- Engaging in scholarly activity relevant to the candidate's expertise that contributes to the department’s scholarly agenda
- Attending department, school, and college events and serving on committees at various levels
- Contributing to work with diverse populations and advancing the Benedictine Values of the College
- Entry-level occupational therapy doctorate degree or post-professional/research doctorate (e.g., OTD, PhD, EdD, ScD)
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification
- Eligibility for OT licensure in Minnesota
- Experience serving diverse populations with cultural humility
- Prior teaching experience in occupational therapy or adult education
- Evidence of continuing education and professional development
- Service to the profession or community
- Evidence of scholarship or evidence-based practice
- Proficiency with technology and adaptability to new tools
- Experience in neurorehabilitation, adult rehabilitation, orthopedics, and geriatrics
- Minimum of two years clinical experience, with three years preferred
