Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities- Perform trust accounting for assigned properties entirely within App Folio
- Manage day-to-day accounting for each property, including:
- Paying bills on behalf of property owners
- Posting income and expenses accurately and timely
- Maintaining clean, reconciled ledgers
- Prepare and distribute monthly owner statements
- Reconcile trust and operating accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Serve as an accounting point of contact for:
- Property managers
- Property owners
- Tenants (as needed for billing and account questions)
- Ensure compliance with trust accounting requirements and internal procedures
- Identify errors or inefficiencies and suggest process improvements
- Collaborate closely with senior accounting staff to support month-end close and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3 years of accounting experience
- Experience with property management accounting strongly preferred
- Prior experience with App Folio is a major plus (but not required)
- Comfortable communicating clearly and professionally with non-accounting stakeholders
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple properties simultaneously
- Proficient with web-based software, Google Suite, and/or MS Office

Annual Base Compensation: $50,000–$65,000
Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and skill set.
