Sr. Trucking Operation Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle domestic trucking operations, including FTL and LTL shipments, from load planning through final delivery and settlement.
• Coordinate with warehouses and customers to ensure accurate freight pickup, delivery scheduling, and dock appointments.
• Secure and manage carrier capacity, negotiate competitive rates, and monitor service performance to meet operational KPIs.
• Track and oversee transportation schedules, proactively addressing delays, service disruptions, or accessorial issues.
• Prepare, review, and verify transportation documentation (BOL, rate confirmations, invoices, delivery receipts) to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Oversee billing processes, including issuing customer invoices (A/R), auditing carrier invoices (A/P), and resolving discrepancies.
• Monitor shipment‑level profitability and analyze margins to ensure cost control and performance targets are achieved.
• Maintain accurate shipment and financial records within TMS/ERP systems, ensuring timely load closure and reporting.
• Collaborate with customers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve delivery, damage, shortage, or claim‑related issues efficiently.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen carrier partnerships.

• 5–7 years of hands‑on logistics operations experience (freight forwarding, carrier management, shipment planning, tracking).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with logistics systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook), and basic reporting tools.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in fast‑paced environments.
