Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Operations & Quality Control Manager to lead production, warehousing, and quality assurance across domestic and overseas manufacturing operations. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for driving operational efficiency, ensuring product consistency, maintaining industry compliance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in metal fabrication, welding, or industrial manufacturing environments, along with a proven ability to manage teams, improve processes, and uphold strict quality standards.

Job Responsibilities Operations Management
  • Oversee daily production activities, including scheduling, staffing, workflow optimization, and on‑time order fulfillment.
  • Manage warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and cycle counts.
  • Coordinate with overseas manufacturing partners to ensure production accuracy, quality standards, and documentation compliance.
  • Track and improve KPIs such as on‑time delivery, labor utilization, scrap/rework rates, and inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain equipment maintenance schedules and ensure safe shop practices and OSHA compliance.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase throughput and efficiency.
Quality Control Management
  • Develop and enforce quality control procedures for manufactured and distributed products.
  • Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ACI, ASTM, ASME, AWS, and customer specifications.
  • Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for nonconformances.
  • Maintain QC documentation, including material certifications, inspection reports, calibration records, and traceability logs.
  • Train production personnel on measurement tools, inspection techniques, and quality requirements.
  • Support Engineering with product validation, testing, and process improvement initiatives.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • Serve as the operational liaison between Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, and Purchasing.
  • Communicate with overseas suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve production processes.
  • Support customer claim resolution with proper documentation and corrective action plans.
Qualifications Required
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, quality control, or industrial production environments.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience.
  • Strong background in metal fabrication, machining, welding, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of standards such as ASTM, ASME, AWS, ACI, ISO, or similar.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret tolerances and specifications.
  • Experience using measurement tools such as calipers, gauges, hardness testers, and inspection equipment.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred
  • Experience managing overseas vendors or import logistics.
  • Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma background.
  • Experience with structural products, lifting hardware, or rigging components.
  • Welding inspection, material science, or mechanical testing knowledge.

    Bilingual (English/Chinese) is a plus.
Physical & Work Environment
  • Ability to walk production floors and warehouse environments regularly.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs for inspection activities.
  • Occasional travel to suppliers or warehouse locations.
  • Use of PPE as required.
