Pritchard Industries is seeking an IT Technical Support Analyst in the Atlanta market. This on‑site staff position within the IT Department is responsible for general system and computer operations as required, and serves as the initial point of contact for Pritchard Industries and its divisions' employees with regards to general technology‑related issues (computer, printer, access, e‑mail, etc.). The role also involves managing and investigating cybersecurity alerts, and escalating as needed.
This position reports to the Director of IT.
- Serve as the first point of contact via in‑person requests, telephone, or e‑mail for Pritchard Industries and its divisions' employees requiring technical assistance.
- Perform troubleshooting as required using appropriate diagnostic techniques.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues.
- Provide excellent customer service (Pritchard Industries and its divisions are the “customers”).
- Redirect unresolved issues to the next level of IT support personnel.
- Place service calls with third‑party vendors as appropriate.
- Perform general system and computer operations as required, including but not limited to:
- Applying updates.
- Fixing end‑user issues.
- Checking backups, logs, etc.
- Monitor security alerts, logs, and determine if the alert is a threat or false positive.
- Learn new technologies as the IT Department’s workload dictates.
- Minimum 1–3 years of work experience in a similar role providing help desk/desktop support services, or technical analyst responsibilities to in‑house and remote personnel and systems.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software, especially cloud‑based tools and SaaS.
- Outstanding working knowledge from an administration/technical perspective of the following:
- Personal computers.
- E‑mail systems.
- Microsoft Windows operating system.
- Microsoft Active Directory.
- Azure AD/Entra .
- Azure services, resource groups.
- MS Defender console.
- MS Purview.
- Outstanding Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook skills.
- Solid technical understanding of the following:
- Network monitoring tools.
- Wireless access point configuration and setup.
- Network security and anti‑virus tools.
- Firewalls.
- Microsoft server software.
- VPNs.
- AV/Endpoint Detect and Respond tools.
- Outstanding problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Openness and desire to learn new technologies as the company’s technology infrastructure evolves over time.
Associate’s Degree in Computer Science/Cybersecurity or equivalent work experience.
TravelOccasional travel to other Pritchard facilities may be required.
Physical DemandsThis is sedentary work that requires reaching, sitting, standing, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity. Physical demands include the ability to lift and handle up to 45 pounds of materials, and bend, stoop, and stretch as required for placement and retrieval of materials or equipment on shelving.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in an office setting. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
