CT Technologist

Overview

The CT Technologist performs computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. This role requires technical expertise, patient care skills, and strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.

• Perform CT imaging procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Position patients appropriately to obtain accurate and high-quality images.
• Operate and maintain CT equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
• Ensure patient comfort and explain procedures clearly to reduce anxiety.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to support patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in the electronic medical system.
• Follow radiation safety guidelines and infection control standards.
• Assist with quality assurance and equipment calibration as required.
• Monitor supply levels and report shortages to supervisors.

• Associate degree or diploma in Radiologic Technology.
• Current licensure or eligibility as a Radiology Technologist.
• Knowledge of CT imaging techniques and safety procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
• Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty within the past 2 years.

• Prior experience in CT imaging within a hospital or clinical setting.
• Experience with advanced imaging protocols and contrast administration.

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography required.
• ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
