Overview

Georgia Eye Partners is a specialty eye care practice in Metro Atlanta comprised of ophthalmologists and optometrists dedicated to providing patients with the highest quality medical and surgical eye care. Our services range from general eye care to complex surgical care for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, corneal disease, and refractive issues. We offer LASIK and other refractive surgery options as well as oculoplastic surgery and laser aesthetic procedures through OPAL Aesthetics.

Responsibilities
  • Provides exceptional patient service in person and over the phone.
  • Interviews patients and/or their representatives to obtain complete and accurate demographic, financial and insurance information required for billing and collections.
  • Performs clerical and patient service duties to maintain efficient flow of operations in the medical office.
  • Answers multiple phone lines, schedules appointments, processes medical records requests, and enters patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Accepts patient payments and manages payment processing as needed.
  • Ensures patient intake forms are signed and complete.
  • Coordinates with clinical staff to ensure an optimal patient experience.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Certificate.
  • Required Skills: Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office/healthcare setting.
  • Healthcare Insurance

    Experience:

    Minimum 2 years of health care insurance experience.
  • Strong computer knowledge with a minimum typing speed of 30 WPM.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; dependable and organized.
  • Ability to learn quickly, retain training, problem solve, and work independently.
  • Impeccable professional image and strong communication abilities.
  • Understanding of medical terminology (preferred).
