Description
Accurately and timely process daily deposit transactions, including ACH entries, wire transfers, check processing, and remote or mobile deposits, in accordance with established bank procedures and regulatory requirements. Review transactions, incoming files, and exception items for completeness, accuracy, and compliance; research and resolve discrepancies, non-posted items, and account adjustments as needed. Perform routine account maintenance activities, ensure required documentation is properly recorded and retained, and support reconciliation efforts by identifying variances and escalating unresolved issues.
Monitor activity for unusual or potentially fraudulent transactions and promptly elevate concerns in accordance with internal controls and risk management guidelines.
- Daily Processing
:
Accurately and timely process deposit transactions. Manage the setup, maintenance, and closure of deposit accounts, ensuring customer information is correctly recorded and maintained. - Fraud Prevention
:
Monitor daily activity in Direct Link Risk Review for potential fraudulent transactions, elevate concerns as appropriate, and assist with fraud prevention efforts. - Risk Management
:
Support risk assessment activities by identifying issues, documenting findings, and assisting with the implementation of approved risk mitigation strategies under the direction of the Deposit Operations Manager. - Regulatory Compliance
:
Maintain working knowledge of applicable banking regulations and internal policies to ensure deposit operations remain compliant. - Customer Service
:
Provide a high level of service to internal departments and external customers by responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. - Policy and Procedure Support
:
Assist with reviewing, updating, and maintaining deposit operations policies and procedures to support efficiency and regulatory compliance. - Cross‑Functional Collaboration
:
Work collaboratively with internal departments to support deposit operations, compliance requirements, and operational initiatives. - Process Improvement
:
Identify opportunities for operational improvements and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience. - Technology Utilization
:
Utilize and support deposit‑related systems and third‑party tools, including fraud and risk management applications, and elevate system issues as needed.
- At least 3-5 years of banking operations experience.
- Experience with ACH processing and maintenance, check verification/processing and returns.
- Knowledge of NACHA and bank regulatory compliance. NACHA certification is a plus.
- Must be coachable and a team player.
- Detail‑oriented and accurate when following bank procedures.
- Must have a strong understanding of fraud detection and risk mitigation.
- Works effectively in a cross‑functional, collaborative environment.
- Ability to learn banking systems, business applications, and third‑party tools.
