Electrical Engineer – Power Distribution
Exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on delivering high-quality engineering solutions for water, wastewater, and industrial process facilities. The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of design or construction experience in power distribution, and/or control system design.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop power distribution systems for industrial and commercial facilities.
- Generate one‑line diagrams, schematics, control panel layouts, and loop diagrams for system control and automation.
- Perform load calculations, cable sizing, and short‑circuit/coordination studies using relevant software tools.
- Specify electrical equipment including switch gear, motor control centers (MCCs), VFDs, and instrumentation devices.
- Support construction, commissioning, and start‑up activities, including site visits when required.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, civil, and process engineers.
- Ensure all designs and documents comply with industry codes (NEC, IEEE) and client specifications.
- Participate in project planning, cost estimation, and client presentations as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience in water/wastewater treatment or industrial sectors.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Proven experience with power distribution system design.
- Familiarity or desire to learn instrumentation and control systems design.
- Proficient in developing or interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control schematics.
- Familiarity with industry tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, Revit, or similar software.
- Solid understanding of NEC and IEEE standards.
- Experience with SCADA or PLC/DCS systems design.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E, Arc Flash Studies, and Hazardous Area Classification.
