Position Overview: The Director, Sales and Business Development, will lead strategic initiatives to grow revenue and volume for Recycling Management Resources (RMR). You will manage a team of business development representatives, support their growth, and ensure sales targets are met. This is a remote role, based in the Central or Eastern time zones, with 25-50% travel expected. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve or exceed sourcing, volume, and margin goals.
  • Develop and execute strategies for RMR supply pipelines.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage sales teams, setting targets and monitoring performance.
  • Market RMR materials to maximize value.
  • Collaborate with operational and marketing teams to align efforts.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, prepare proposals, and represent the company at industry events.
  • Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
    • At least 7 years in business development or sales leadership.
    • Experience managing teams and achieving revenue targets.
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and strategic planning skills.
    • Proficiency in CRM and Microsoft Office.
    • Willingness to travel as needed.
