Job Title: Business Administrator

Organization: Aldersgate Homes and Collinswood

Location: Duluth, Georgia

Schedule: Part-time, in-person, 15 hours per week

Reports To: Executive Director

Position Summary

Aldersgate Homes, a United Methodist-based nonprofit organization, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Business Administrator to support the financial and administrative operations of our organization. This part‑time position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate financial processes and smooth day‑to‑day administrative functions. The Business Administrator works closely with the Executive Director and supports the mission and values of Aldersgate Homes.

Financial & Accounting Duties
  • Process and pay vendor invoices and organizational bills in a timely manner
  • Manage payroll processing and related documentation
  • Handle accounts receivable, including invoicing and tracking donations
  • Facilitate all tax‑related documentation
  • Assist with basic financial reporting as requested by the Executive Director
Administrative Support
  • Provide general administrative support to the Director
  • Maintain organized records (financial, administrative, and operational)
  • Assist with data entry and document preparation
  • Design and publish monthly newsletter
  • Facilitate the booking system for Collinswood rentals
Qualifications
  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, or financial administration
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and accounts receivable
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part‑time role
  • Proficiency with basic accounting software and Microsoft Office
  • Experience working with or for a nonprofit organization is preferred
  • Respect for and alignment with the mission and values of Aldersgate Homes
  • Must be willing to provide references and a background check
