Senior Accountant

We are hiring for a Sr Accountant to join our growing team!

• Completes assigned month-end closing procedures in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
• Performs ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.
• Implements systems or processes to eliminate variances between subsidiary systems and the GL control accounts.
• Prepares journal entries with sufficient support and in compliance with GAAP.
• Prepares schedules and supports the annual audit and quarterly reviews, including the ability to critically review internal and external auditor requests and provide documented support in a timely manner.
• Works with multiple systems and ensures data is transferred correctly to the GL.
• Performs and substantiates balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with company standards.
• Builds cross-functional relationships to obtain data used to record accruals and other journal entries.
• Performs account analysis and explains variances when interacting with the finance team to support cost center level reporting.
• Assesses current processes and implements best practices and process improvements.
• Reviews and performs monthly SOX controls, including providing sufficient support and detailed documentation for all work performed.

Work Experience

• 6+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience (Required)

Education

• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience, resulting in broad knowledge of a field related to the job, such as accounting, marketing, business administration, agriculture, etc. (Required)

Licenses, Certifications, Professional Affiliations

• CPA or CMA (Preferred)
