Client OverviewOur client is a well-established tax preparation firm serving individuals and small businesses across the greater Atlanta area. Their team is committed to accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional client service, providing personalized tax solutions for both personal and commercial clients. We are seeking a detail-oriented Seasonal Tax Preparer to join our client's onsite team in Duluth, GA, during the upcoming tax season.
Salary/HourlyRate
$18/hr - $20/hr
Position OverviewThis temporary Seasonal Tax Preparer role is ideal for tax professionals with 2 - 3 years of hands-on experience preparing personal and business tax returns who are looking for a seasonal opportunity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate federal and state tax filings, working directly with clients, and ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
Responsibilities Of The Seasonal Tax Preparer- Prepare and file federal and state personal and commercial tax returns.
- Review financial documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Analyze income, deductions, credits, and supporting documentation.
- Utilize accounting and tax software (Quick Books, Sage, or similar).
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding tax filings and questions.
- Stay current on tax law updates and regulatory changes.
- Provide excellent customer service during peak tax season.
- Collaborate with the internal team members to maintain efficient workflow.
- 2 - 3 years of experience preparing personal and/or business tax returns.
- Ability to obtain or maintain a PTIN.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with data entry and 10-key typing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Quick Books, Sage, or similar software is preferred.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
