Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

Our client is a growing private engineering firm located in Gwinnett County. This is a smaller employee-owned company with a civil engineering niche in the commercial space. They are looking to add an Accountant to their team.

$65k - $80k Annually

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our client's small but growing engineering firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including AIA billing, general ledger maintenance, payroll processing, and financial reporting. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

• Prepare and manage AIA billing and project-related invoicing in compliance with contract requirements.
• Maintain the general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Process bi-weekly payroll, employee expense reimbursements, and related tax filings.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting and analysis.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Assist with budget preparation, cost tracking, and job cost reporting.
• Coordinate with management and project teams to ensure accurate financial documentation and compliance.

• GL Accounting experience.
• AIA Billing or Construction Accounting experience.
• Small company experience wearing many hats.

• Payroll knowledge.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
