Visionary Solutions of Virginia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing vision loss and mental health challenges through advocacy, counseling, and resource navigation services.

We are seeking an Outreach Intern to support our efforts in expanding community awareness and building referral relationships with healthcare providers.

This internship offers practical experience in nonprofit outreach, relationship development, and healthcare communications. The role is educational in nature and designed to provide exposure to outreach strategy and nonprofit operations.

• Research and identify primary care and ophthalmology offices
• Assist in initiating outreach to healthcare providers
• Support the development of referral partnerships
• Track outreach activity and assist with reporting
• Help refine outreach messaging and communication materials

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in nonprofit work, healthcare outreach, or community engagement
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely
• Background in healthcare, marketing, public health, or communications is a plus

• Hands-on experience in nonprofit outreach and partnership development
• Exposure to healthcare referral systems
• Professional communication experience
• Insight into nonprofit operations
• Letter of recommendation upon successful completion

The expected time commitment is approximately 5-10 hours per week to ensure continuity and meaningful engagement in the role.
