Field & Fork Network is seeking a Digital Communications Manager to bring our mission and impact to life through strategic storytelling, digital engagement, and data-driven content creation. This role will manage our digital presence across platforms, websites, social media, and email, and help build a cohesive voice for our organization that inspires action, supports fundraising, and strengthens program awareness.
The right candidate is a natural communicator with an obsessive eye for detail and a knack for digital story telling. The ideal candidate has strong experience in content creation, social media analytics, and digital community management, and thrives in collaborative, fast-moving, and mission-driven environments. This position will report to the Director of Communications & Development.

ResponsibilitiesSocial Media & Content Creation
Execute Integrated Communications Strategy:
Support the implementation of a multi-channel communications plan to drive mission awareness, program visibility, donor engagement, and partner support.
Write and edit compelling copy for social media, newsletters, blogs, and websites. Tailor content to audience and platform while maintaining a consistent tone and voice.
Editorial Calendar DevelopmentContribute to the creation and management of an organization-wide content calendar, aligning communications with campaigns, programs, and strategic priorities.
Capture Visual ContentUse basic photo and video equipment to collect visuals from events, site visits, or program activities. Edit and repurpose assets for use across digital channels.
Analytics & ReportingUse analytics tools (Google Analytics, social insights, email marketing dashboards) to measure performance and ROI.
Prepare regular reports on content performance, audience behavior, and engagement trends.
Use data to inform content strategy and refine digital efforts.
Website & Digital Infrastructure SupportAssist with building and updating website content, particularly as we invest in a new digital hub and strengthen our online donor experience. Experience with CMS platforms like Word Press or Salesforce is a plus.
Design Support:
Create simple visual assets (e.g., social graphics, flyers, presentations) using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
Stay current on digital trends, tools, and industry best practices.
Recommend new channels, formats, or strategies to improve content reach and engagement.
Qualifications4–6 years of experience in communications, digital marketing, or social media management.
B.A. required in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field, non-profit sector experience is preferred.
Strong understanding of key social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Linked In, You Tube, X), their use and their analytics.
Proven ability to write and edit for a variety of digital formats and audiences.
Basic photo and video capture/editing skills for social media.
Proficiency in Canva or similar tools; experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Field & Fork Network operates in Buffalo, NY under a hybrid work model, with three days in the office and two days working remotely.
