Provides strengths-based, trauma-informed, culturally attuned, therapeutic services to children and their caregivers. Provides sessions in school, in the office, and in the community based on family preference. Facilitates school and community based therapeutic groups. Collaborates with attending psychiatrist who provides client’s medication management. Collaborates with schools via IEP’s and monthly contacts with teachers, counselors, and other school support team members. Fosters ongoing working relationships with school and community members.
Collaborates with any other agency or community resource to support clients, as well as provides referrals for services outside our program’s scope. Attends staff meetings weekly and participates in professional supervision in line with BBS standards. Meets all clinical documentation standards of the program, agency, and clinical field. Adheres to all agency policies, including productivity targets and documentation requirements.
- Is familiar with the principles of System of Care, and the Wraparound Philosophy. This is exemplified by interventions that are based on the strengths and needs of the child, youth, and family. Treatment will be individualized, culturally appropriate to the family system, and inclusive of all important individuals to the child/family that represent natural or indigenous supports from the home, school, and/or community.
Client and family input is regularly solicited and integrated into services, regarding the quality & outcome of services, development of treatment goals, and overall service delivery. - Is familiar with the vision and mission of SDCC-ECOP
. - Seeks and utilizes outcome measures, in addition to client/family/Tx team feedback, as a means of measuring treatment progress and success. Regardless of a therapist’s theoretical orientation, there is accountability to service results as evidenced by the realistic goals of behavioral change on the part of the child, youth, and/or significant adults in the life of the child or youth.
- Responsible for comprehensive, clinically sound, efficient, and timely documentation and billing. Participates in ongoing training and Quality Assurance chart reviews to ensure the soundness of all client health records.
- Actively works toward providing timely services to clients and to meeting monthly and annual productivity targets.
- Incorporation of the program into family context through regular parent and staff communication. Promote positive program identity within SDCC-ECOP and the San Diego community at large.
- Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team at the outpatient clinic. Collaborates with school personnel in order to foster a collaborative working relationship and ensure quality service for clients.
