Social Media and Marketing Intern – Charlotte, NC

Report to Social Media Manager and Director of Marketing

Part-time; approximately 20 hours per week; $20 per hour; in-office & work from home

Charlotte, NC – corporate office for 4 state franchise operation

Sola Salons is the leading salon studio concept in the U.S. with over 750 locations in 45 states and Canada. Sola Salons expects to open 50+ locations per year over the next several years. The salon studio concept is the fastest growing segment of the $50+ billion salon industry.

We are a franchisee of Sola Salons serving multiple markets across the southeast. We operate 60 locations in NC/SC/GA/FL. We are the 2nd largest franchisee in the system with an aggressive growth strategy.

Sola Salons is a facility operator and business services provider offering turnkey one- and two-chair salon studios for beauty professionals. Sola Salons’ tenants/customers are not employees, but rather independent business owners. Sola Salons’ focus is on delivering the best possible salon environment to highly dedicated beauty professionals who desire to own their own businesses. We support the success of these stylists by providing a range of business services allowing each beauty professional to express her creativity, enhance the client experience and own her success.

The Analyst will provide a range of marketing and research support to the Director of Marketing. Projects will include social media management; market research; health, wellness & beauty industry research; competitor research; professional outreach; marketing campaign development; and other initiatives utilizing data analytics, databases, and other resources.

Strong desire to learn, self-starter, intellectual curiosity, willingness to ask the one extra question, ambitious work ethic, and familiarity with social media.

Experience in the beauty or salon industry is not required. Strong interpersonal skills are required. Interest in marketing, retail, hospitality, sales, corporate development and general business are welcome.
