Landmark Financial Partners is seeking an Associate Financial Advisor to support the daily business operations of an independent advisor franchisee with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow within a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment while building a foundation for a long-term career in financial advising.
With mentorship from the employing franchise owner, the Associate Financial Advisor will develop professional skills, support client relationships, and build their own base of clients over time. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality client experience while consistently adhering to professional, ethical, legal, and regulatory standards. Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Associate Financial Advisor provides client relationship and operational support by:
- Managing, gathering and analyzing client data
- Assisting in the preparation of financial plans and client deliverables
- Supporting and participating in client meetings
- Resolving client service issues and responding to ad hoc requests
- Providing project management support for business initiatives and events
- Assisting with practice management tasks as needed
Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as responsibilities may evolve based on the needs of the practice.
Position Functions:Marketing and Client Acquisition (Approximately 25%)
- Contact prospective clients to schedule meetings or appointments
- Assist with coordinating seminars and client appreciation events
- Leverage personal and professional networks to support client acquisition
- Learn and implement client referral program
- Drive client acquisition using network marketing with Center of Influence
- Assist with social media presence for marketing purposes
Client Service and Care (Approximately 55%)
- Prepare for client meetings focused on planning discussions
- Attend or lead client meetings as appropriate
- Conduct post-meeting follow-up as directed by the Financial Advisor, including:
- Transactions
- Money movements
- Illustrations and proposals
- Respond to client questions
- Assist in the financial planning process
- Support the servicing of retirement plans
Business Management and Client Care (Approximately 20%)
- Business Management
- Review work methods and procedures to identify opportunities for quality improvements and efficiencies
- Participate in team meetings
- Support adherence to compliance standards and firm policies
- Assist with investment research
- Client Care
- Maintain accurate client records in Salesforce CRM
- Review and respond to emails in a timely manner
- Return client calls within a reasonable time frame
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 2+ years of related experience
- Must already hold or be willing to study for and pass required federal and state licenses and registrations, including Series 7, Series 66, and State Life, Accident and Health insurance licenses
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, the ability to support and lead client meetings, and a desire to grow a financial advisory practice. This individual has an entrepreneurial mindset, strong organizational and research skills, and the ability to recommended suitable investment products and services under guidance. An existing client base is preferred but not required. The Associate Financial Advisor must adhere to all rules and regulations as required by Ameriprise Financial and applicable regulatory standards.
