We’re looking for a detail-driven, organized, and motivated Events Intern for Summer 2026 who is excited to help bring high-quality conferences and learning experiences to life.
If you love logistics, planning, collaborating with teams, and seeing an event come together from concept to execution, this internship is your backstage pass. You’ll gain hands-on experience in conference planning, marketing coordination, virtual platforms, attendee engagement, and onsite event production – all while helping us deliver exceptional experiences that meet both customer and business goals.
❤️ What You’ll Do
- Support Event Manager and Assistant Event Planners
with detailed planning and administrative tasks to ensure events are executed accurately and on time - Build and manage event registration systems and maintain event websites
- Assist with marketing materials including signage, attendee packets, promotional materials, and client communications
- Manage attendee engagement processes including CME data systems, attendance tracking, and responding to attendee inquiries
- Help build and upload content into virtual and hybrid conference platforms
- Attend and support onsite event production (including at lease one event in Chicago)
- Coordinate logistics to ensure compliance with ACCME guidelines
- Troubleshoot day-of-event challenges to maintain a seamless attendee experience
- Analyze post-event data and assist with client reporting
- Conduct market research and present findings to support planning efforts
- Participate in one Meeting Achievements committee or taskforce during the internship to contribute ideas and improvements
- Propose creative ideas to enhance processes, elevate event quality, and improve customer satisfaction

- Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, or related field
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Travel: Optional and rare travel within Northwest Indiana (NWI) for local events, community activities, or partnership per interest and availability

Travel: This role will be required to go onsite to Chicago for a minimum of 1 event over the course of the internship. Reliable transportation is necessary.
Job Type: Part-time (average of 25 hours per week, designed to satisy Purdue/Purdue NWHTM 301 and other internships requiring 300+ hours for credit), in-person
Pay: $17/hour
Timeline: This internship is scheduled to begin May 11, 2026, through August 21, 2025. Actual start and end dates may vary due to academic calendars. Extensions of the internship are possible but not guaranteed.
