Visionary Solutions of Virginia is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing vision loss and mental health challenges through advocacy, counseling, and resource navigation services.

We are seeking a motivated and creative Writing Intern to support content development across digital and outreach platforms. This internship is designed to provide hands-on writing experience in a professional nonprofit environment while contributing to meaningful, mission-driven projects.

• Write original content for blogs, newsletters, social media, and outreach materials
• Assist in developing storytelling strategies aligned with our mission
• Edit and revise content based on feedback
• Conduct basic research to ensure accuracy and clarity
• Support content planning and editorial scheduling

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in English, Creative Writing, Communications, Marketing, or related field
• Strong writing portfolio demonstrating creativity and versatility
• Excellent grammar, spelling, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage deadlines in a remote setting
• Open to feedback and collaborative revision

Flexible remote schedule, approximately 5–10 hours per week.

• Practical experience producing mission-driven content
• Exposure to nonprofit communications strategy
• Professional reference upon successful completion
