Work Schedule
:
Thursday – Saturday, 6 p.m. – 2:30 a.m.

Hourly Pay
: $21.81 – $24.92 with full benefits

The Oshkosh Police Department is seeking a dedicated Telecommunications Clerk to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring professional, prompt, and courteous service to the community while supporting departmental operations through various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide polite and professional assistance via telephone, transferring calls and relaying messages accurately.
    • Deliver information and aid to the public, handling requests for non-emergency services.
    • Assist with emergency situations and special operations as required, enhancing the department’s public image through high-quality service.
  • Data Entry:
    • Input requests for service into the Computer Aided Dispatch system efficiently, meeting all mandated time frames.
    • Operate essential computer programs such as the TIME System Terminal and Records Management System.
  • Form Processing and File Maintenance:
    • Process parking citation review forms, open records requests forms, towed vehicles information, and any additional records.
    • Maintain accurate and accessible file systems for the Customer Service Desk.
  • Training and Development:
    • Engage in comprehensive training programs to enhance professional skills.
    • Participate in departmental and professional meetings, and propose improvements for operational efficiency.
