Overview

We are a rapidly expanding bookkeeping and business management firm seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team on a permanent part-time to full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to accuracy and excellence. Experience with accounting software such as Quick Books is required.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily cash transactions including deposits, credit card charges, and daily sales entries
  • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
  • Maintain general ledger and detailed accounting records for all accounts
  • Conduct regular follow-up on client accounts and investigate/resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare weekly accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) reports
  • Reconcile vendor and customer accounts; manage communications and follow-ups
  • Generate accurate monthly financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, budgets, and custom reports
  • Maintain thorough and organized documentation and general ledger work
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a college program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional and courteous in all interactions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Office applications
  • Experience with accounting software such as Quick Books is required and Peachtree/Sage preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently under pressure
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive
  • Must provide at least two professional references
