Overview

Accurant LLC is a progressive, expanding, full-service accounting and tax firm with multiple locations throughout the Midwest. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and financial accounting, with the ability to navigate complex tax regulations and provide strategic insights. The Tax Manager will play a pivotal role in guiding less experienced staff and managing tax-related matters for our clients.

Duties
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Review the work of less experienced staff.
  • Utilize accounting software, including Lacerte and Quick Books, to manage tax-related data efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide excellent client service.
  • Stay current on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on our client’s operations.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff members on tax-related matters.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • Proven experience in tax accounting and financial accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting and tax software such as Quick Books and Lacerte.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and tax regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
