Position OverviewWe are seeking a full‑time Tax Senior Associate with recent accounting experience and willingness to lead and advise staff, to join our growing team. Senior Associates play a vital role in monitoring engagements, mentoring junior team members, and delivering high‑quality service to our clients. This role is ideal for professionals who want to grow technically while building client and leadership skills.
Responsibilities- Maintains professionalism in all client and team interactions.
- Executes tax engagements from start to finish, meeting deadlines and key milestones.
- Understands client industry and relevant tax methods or rulings.
- Proactively manages tasks and timelines, addressing challenges as they arise.
- Exercises sound judgment in client‑facing situations.
- Fosters a supportive and trusting team environment.
- Provides on‑the‑job training and feedback to Associates and Interns.
- Delegates work based on engagement needs and team development opportunities.
- Balances personal workload with coaching responsibilities.
- Adapts communication and training styles to fit team dynamics.
- Researches tax topics and forms conclusions with supervisory input.
- Recognizes and addresses both federal and state tax issues.
- Performs thorough self‑reviews and supports onboarding of new clients.
- Applies knowledge gained across engagements to improve work quality.
- Actively develops business acumen and self‑awareness.
- Maintains knowledge of SKM and Aprio PS+ service offerings and relationships.
- Builds a professional network and pursues CPA certification.
- Seeks opportunities to grow and contribute to firm success.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 1–3 years of accounting experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office, artificial intelligence tools, and comfortable with learning new systems
- Motivated and organized with attention to detail
Commitment to high standards of professionalism - CPA license or interested in pursuing CPA certification
