Position OverviewWe are seeking a full-time Tax Supervisor with recent accounting and supervisory experience to join our growing team. The Supervisor is responsible for delegating and managing multiple tax return projects, assistance with yearly tax planning, developing client relationships, and mentoring junior team members—all while upholding the firm’s high-quality standards.
Responsibilities- Builds strong year-round relationships with key client contacts.
- Manages projects from start to finish, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.
- Confidently communicates with clients on business strategy and tax planning.
- Demonstrates professionalism and adaptability in evolving client and firm needs.
- Begins to present in client meetings and firm events.
- Trains, mentors, and delegates to Interns, Associates, and Seniors.
- Provides timely, constructive feedback across all levels.
- Actively participates in recruiting, training, and firm growth initiatives.
- Motivates others and fosters a positive, team-oriented environment.
- Conducts advanced research and applies recent tax guidance.
- Prepares and reviews complex tax deliverables with attention to detail.
- Applies and upholds SKM’s quality standards in all engagements.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and consistent delivery of high‑quality work.
- Builds internal and external networks and identifies expanded service opportunities.
- Represents the firm in proposal meetings and professional/community organizations.
- Actively participates in client relationship building and strategic discussions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA license or interested in pursuing CPA certification
- 4–7 years of accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office, artificial intelligence tools, and comfortable with learning new systems
- Motivated and organized with attention to detail
- Commitment to high standards of professionalism
- Interested in community involvement
- Interested in professional growth and building client relationships
