Job OverviewEden Brown Synergy is recruiting an experienced Children's Social Worker to join the MASH Team at Dudley Council. This frontline safeguarding role focuses on risk assessment, decision‑making, and multi‑agency information sharing to ensure children and young people are protected at the earliest opportunity.
You will contribute to delivering an effective statutory children's social care service, managing a varied caseload and undertaking high‑quality safeguarding assessments, in line with legislation, Dudley safeguarding procedures, and the Restorative Practice Framework.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload appropriate to experience and complexity
- Undertake MASH screening, safeguarding checks, and risk assessments
- Complete child‑centred, timely assessments and make threshold decisions
- Carry out Section 17, Section 47, and child protection enquiries
- Develop and review care plans and protective interventions
- Prepare high‑quality reports within statutory timescales
- Attend and contribute to strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and court hearings
- Undertake direct work with children and families where required
- Maintain accurate case recording using Liquid Logic (LL) / Early Help Module (EHM)
- Work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners including Police, Health, and Education
- Qualified Social Worker (DipSW / Degree or equivalent)
- Registered with Social Work England (SWE)
- Proven MASH experience within statutory children's services
- Strong knowledge of children's legislation, safeguarding, and child protection
- Excellent risk analysis, assessment, and decision‑making skills
- Confident producing clear, analytical, high‑quality written reports
- Ability to work at pace in a high‑pressure safeguarding environment
- Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance & valid MOT
- Experience using Liquid Logic (LL)
- Working knowledge of Restorative Practice
- Understanding of Dudley Safeguarding procedures and LSCB guidance
- Experience using Liquid Logic (LL)
