Hours : 6am to 2pm / Monday to Friday

Salary : £30,000 to £36,000 per annum

We’re currently seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a skilled precision engineering team. The role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC Star Sliding Head machines to produce high-quality components used in critical applications.

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC Sliding Head (Star machines with Fanuc controls)
• Producing high-integrity components to tight tolerances
• Working from technical drawings, ensuring quality and accuracy throughout
• Conducting first-off and in-process inspections using appropriate measuring equipment
• Performing routine machine maintenance and keeping the work area clean and safe
• Collaborating with the production and quality teams to meet deadlines and optimise output

• Proven experience in a CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator role (ideally in a high-integrity or precision environment)
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc)
• Proven experience working on Sliding head machines (Star machines)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances
• Good understanding of inspection and measurement techniques
• Positive attitude, good problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently
