Job Overview

Dudley Academies Trust, St James Academy are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Cleaner to help maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across our Academy. Duties include thorough cleaning using correct techniques, safe waste disposal, replenishing supplies, and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring safe working practices in line with Health and Safety regulations.

Training will be provided, and flexibility is essential for covering colleagues when needed.

• Clean classrooms, staff and student areas, halls and bathrooms.
• Dispose of waste safely and correctly.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and refill refill cells.
• Store and handle cleaning chemicals using proper safety procedures.
• Work in line with Health and Safety regulations at all times.

• Reliable and safety‑conscious with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to adapt and cover for colleagues as required.
• Willingness to undergo training and maintain health and safety standards.

All successful applicants will need to undertake an enhanced disclosure and barring service check and children and adults barred list checks, as the role involves working in a regulated activity.
