Adults Social Worker - Learning Disabilities Team

Are you an experienced Adults Social Worker looking for your next locum opportunity? Dudley MBC is seeking a confident and skilled Social Worker to join their Learning Disabilities Team, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs to live safe, independent and fulfilling lives.
This is a fast-paced, rewarding role for someone with at least 2 years' post-qualified permanent experience in Adults Social Work who thrives in statutory services.
The RoleYou will manage a varied and complex caseload, completing:
- Care Act 2014 assessments and reviews using strengths-based, person-centred approaches
- Support planning and risk management
- Section 42 safeguarding enquiries
- Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA) and Best Interest decisions
- Court of Protection and DoLS work
- Transitions from Children's to Adult Services
- Multi-agency partnership work with health, housing and providers
- Duty rota responsibilities
- Social Work England registered
- Qualified Social Worker (Degree/DipSW)
- Strong knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding legislation
- Confident managing complex LD cases
- Excellent assessment and report-writing skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Competitive £31.97 per hour
