Hagley Surgery is looking for a Receptionist to join our dynamic team for 37 hours per week (with part-time hours considered).

Main duties of the job

Our reception teams are responsible for busy back of house call centres, Hagley Surgery takes approximately 5,000 patient calls per month. A significant part of this role will include working as part of the reception team in the sites back of house reception call centre.

  • Acting as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a professional and friendly welcome.
  • Managing appointment bookings, cancellations, and patient registrations.
  • Handling phone calls and directing enquiries to the right team members.
  • Supporting clinicians by handling medical reports and administration.
  • Maintaining a well-organized reception area.
  • Opening and closing the premises securely.

Job responsibilities

Join our dynamic team and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working in a team, and delivering excellent service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Professionally and politely greet all patients and visitors, both in person and over the phone.

Handle incoming calls from patients and healthcare professionals, directing them as needed or taking messages.

Manage administrative queries and requests, acting as a key link between patients and clinicians.

Schedule, cancel, and rearrange appointments efficiently using the clinical system.

Provide essential support to clinicians, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Process medical report requests and handle related fees.

Maintain a clean and organised reception and waiting area.
