What the Role Involves
As a Senior Tax Accountant, you’ll manage a mixed portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients, providing both compliance and advisory services. You’ll work closely with partners and colleagues, helping shape the tax department’s future.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage and review corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns
* Provide tax planning and advisory support to clients
* Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance submissions
* Handle HMRC enquiries and liaise directly with authorities
* Support VAT compliance, including registrations and queries
* Prepare and review P11D and PAYE Settlement Agreements
* Mentor junior team members and contribute to departmental growth
* Stay up to date with tax legislation and share insights with the team
What We’re Looking For
* 6+ years’ UK accountancy practice experience (essential)
* Strong experience across corporation and personal tax
* Qualified (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CTA) or part-qualified
* Excellent client management, analytical skills, and attention to detail
* Experience with tax/accounting software (IRIS, CCH, Sage, Xero)
* Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills
